Obituary for Floyd Loftis
Floyd Loftis, age 72, of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Friday, June 19th, 1998 at his home in Altus, after a lengthy illness. He was born September 9th, 1925 at Ozark, Oklahoma to the late William and Ida (Powell) Loftis. He was one of 18 children. He attended school at Friendship and Ozark. His family farmed on the Kidd's Farm between Friendship and Ozark before moving to Altus.
He married Pauline Warren. They had three children; Tony Floyd Loftis, Billy Paul Loftis and Rhonda Gail Loftis. On March 26, 1970 in Altus, he and Georgia Parrish were united in marriage. She preceded him in death December 4, 1989.
Floyd was a Painter. He worked in the Altus and Jackson County areas before retiring.
Graveside services are scheduled Monday, June 22nd, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. at the Altus City Cemetery with Sonny Tims officiating. Arrangements are under the directions of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include: three children, Tony Floyd Loftis, Billy Paul Loftis and Rhonda Gail Loftis all of Denver, CO; two sisters, Lue Vena Robertson of Altus, Oklahoma, Lucille Weathers of Lawton, OK; four grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Georgia Loftis; seven brothers and eight sisters.
