Frances Elizabeth (Fannie) Kerr 87, died at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services are set for 1:30pm Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Altus with Rev. Michel Kavaklian-D'Annecy and Rev. Eugene Foreman officiating. Burial will be at the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Fannie was born on July 16, 1906 at Yeldell, Indian Territory. She was one of seven children born to pioneer parents, Braxton and Leoma Seay, who arrived in 1897 in what was to become Jackson County, Oklahoma. She attended school at Yeldell through the fourth grade. The family then moved to the Friendship Community where she attended the Navajoe school and later, the new school at Friendship where she was active in 4-h. She was married to Mark C. Kerr on May 20, 1925, her high school graduation day, who preceded her in death on November 1, 1992. She has been a member of the Methodist Church since age 11, having transferred her membership to the Altus First Methodist Church in 1940. She was a member of United Methodist Women, a 45 year member of the Order of The Eastern Star at Headrick where she served as Worthy Matron, a member of Jackson County Democratic Women, a homemaker and an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed writing and doing for others.

She us survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Dean Craven and a son and daughter-in-law, Senator Bob and Robbie Kerr, all of Altus; five grandchildren, Nancy (Craven) and Bill thomason of Perry, Oklahoma; Mark and Sue Craven, Robert and Johnna Kerr, Robin (Kerr) and Brad Wenk and Rodger and Tamra Kerr, all of Altus; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Bernes and Joe Seay, both of Altus and a sister, Lenita Van Burkleo of Wichita, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and three brothers Edd, Boyd and Jesse Seay.
