Obituary for Frankie M. Edwards
Services for Frankie M. Edwards, age 79, of Altus have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 15th, 1914 at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Wiginton officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Albert Cemetery in Albert, OK.
Mrs. Edwards was born April 15, 1914 in Oney, OK to Elam F. Wells and Ada Pearl (Dennis) Wells. She married Clyde Edwards September 21, 1933 in Arapaho, OK. Mrs. Edwards taught school for over 30 years, with the last 19 years of her career at Roosevelt Elementary School before her retirement in 1976. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include: two children, Virginia Vorron and husband Kenneth of Altus, Oklahoma and Dugan Edwards and wife Sharron Kay of Tulsa, OK; eleven grandchildren, Kenton, Brent and Dale McKnight, Timmy Wright, Kenny Edwards, Leesa Simonds, Diana, Christopher,Natosha, Josh and Catherine Vorron; six great-grandchildren, Michael and Kyle McKnight, Amanda and Conner Simonds, Celia and Stephane Edwards.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; one granddaughter, Kimbra Sue McKnight; one sister, Annie Cleo Bryson; one brother, Jack Wells.
