Frederick Martin Jarvis, age 80 of Tulsa an d formerly of Eldorado, passed away at his home in Tulsa on Tuesday eening, July 25, 2006.
Mr. Jarvis was born in Eldorado on October 29, 1925, to Archie and Lizzie (Harvey) Jarvis. He graduated from Eldorado High School in 1944 and moved to Burbank, California, and resided with his aunt and uncle. Beginning working with Barnett Buick that same year, he continued with the same dealership until his retirement. In the early 1980's he married Marianne Minerich in Las Vegas, Nevada. Water skiing, boat racing, motorcross, snow skiing, and four wheeling were some of his favorite hobbies during his free time. Mr. Jarvis continued living in California until six months ago and move to Tulsa to be near his family.
Preceded on death by his parents an wife Marianne, he is survived by three step children, Randelle Chavarin of Whittier, California, Nikki Darby of Cypress, California, and Tony Minerich of Salt Lake City, Utah; one brother, Holland Jarvis and wife Napmi of Lubbock, Texas; two sisters, Kay Yeksavick of Oxner, California, and Gwen Long and husband Donley of Eldorado, Oklahoma. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
