Funeral services for Mr. Gabe McDoniel, age 70, of Blair, have been set for 10:00 A.M., Monday at the First Baptist Church in Blair, OK., Rev. Marshall Howard. Burial in Blair Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Mr. McDoniel died Sunday morning at Jackson County Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Born March 13th, 1899 near Warren, he was married to Mary Leona Biddy on December 2, 1917 in Blair. They settled in the Blair/Warren area where they were engaged in farming until 1966, then moved to Blair and had been engaged in the operation of a cafe there for the past several years.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Leona, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Opal Gregory of Midwest City and Mrs. Kathleen DeShong of Altus; one brother, Roy, of Blair; one sister, Mrs. Gussie Hendricks of Blair; three grandchildren, Mrs. Janis Hill of Grand Prairie, TX, Miss Susanne DeShong of Altus and Mrs. Diane Landers of Altus; three great-grandchildren, Pamela Hill, Cynthia Hill, and Tanya Landers; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
