Obituary for George Frank Shaffer
Services for George Frank Shaffer, age 78, of Elmer, Oklahoma, have been scheduled for 10 A.M. Tuesday in the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard D. Phelp and Rev. Melvin Moody officiating. Interment will be in the Hess Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Mr. Shaffer was born September 18th, 1915 in Perry, Georgia to Albert and Marcia (Lowry) Shaffer. He died Saturday, July 2nd, 1994. He moved to the Jackson County area in 1927. Mr. Shaffer married Helen Fitzgerald, December 12, 1940 in Anadarko, OK. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a farmer and postal employee in the Elmer community for most of his life. Mr. Shaffer attended the Methodist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Helen Shaffer of the home; one child, Kelly Shaffer and wife Brenda of Elmer, OK; two sisters, Lillian Ward of Savannah, GA and Grace Rogers of Tulsa, OK; one granddaughter, Sandy Shaffer of Elmer, OK; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers; one sister.
