Gladys Louise Hayes, 67, passed away Saturday, April 29, 1995, at her home after a lengthy illness. Gladys was born August 13, 1927, in Huntsville, Alabama, the daughter of George and Vader Beatrice "Markham" Andrews.
On March 17, 1966, she and Albert R. Hayes were united in marriage at Carriere, Mississippi. The came to Altus in 1993 from Castleberry, Florida. Mrs Hayes was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She is survived by Albert, her husband of 29 years; eight children, Linda L. Stone of Altus, Carol A. Weyghandt of Orlando, Florida; Perry G. Luna of Oregon, Jerry W. Luna of Michigan, David L. Luna of Blair, Oklahoma; Vivian M. Luna of Wisconsin, Debra F. Beckham of Altus, and Thomas Earl Hayes of Blair, Oklahoma; two brothers, George W. Andrews of Athens, Al. and Hubert Andrews of Gurley, Al; one sister, Lucy Bell Atchley of Gurley, Al.; twenty grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
