Obituary for Gladys Maxine Hawkins
Gladys Maxine (Ford) Hawkins, age 78, a resident of Duke since 1990 and formerly of California, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008 in Altus.
Gladys was born in Frankfort, Indiana on December 28, 1929 to Edward and Nora (Phillips) Ford. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Duke and helped her friends as a caregiver in their homes. She enjoyed going to basketball games and watching TV game shows. Gladys loved helping and giving to other people and she will be missed very much.
Preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Junior, Johnny and Billy; three sisters, Bernice, Hazel and Thelma; Gladys is survived by her special friends, Jean Wright of Duke; Maron Wright and his wife Wanda of Chickasha; all her friends of the Duke community; all her friends from California; and all her adopted grandchildren.
Services for Gladys Maxine Hawkins will be private services conducted at a later time following cremation.
