Obituary for Gladys Poling Boyett
Gladys Evalyn (Poling) Boyett, age 91, passed away Friday, December 17, 1999 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.

She was born on December 12, 1908, to C.W. (Walt) and Maud Poling. She graduated from Hollis High School in 1928. She married Melvin Luther Boyett in Altus, Oklahoma , on December 3, 1932. She was a homemaker and a bookkeeper at Temple Bailey Farm Supply and later at S & S Supply until 1970 when she retired. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class in Altus.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Hensley and her husband, Don, of Brownfield, Texas, and Brenda Boyett and her husband, Andy Ryan of Tuscon, Arzonia; four grandchildren, Duarte Hensley of Lubbock, Texas and Jeph Hensley of Amarillo, Texas, Cinnamon Waker of Denver, Colorado, and Ivy Riddle of Tuscon; four great-grandchildren, one sister, Mildred Irma Donalson of Yukon, Oklahoma; nine nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; three sisters, and one brother.

The family request that memorial be sent to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, or the Alzheimer's Association.

Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, December 20, 1999 at 11:00am at Restlawn Cemetery with Bob Maxey officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
