Obituary for Glenda L. Callahan
Glenda L. Callahan, age 64, of Tipton, Oklahoma, former Altus resident passed away Monday, April 20th, 1998 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born April 2nd, 1934 in Campbell, Arkansas to the late Wilburn and Bessie (Watts) Massey . On November 7, 1955 in Shreveport, LA, she and Bryan Lee Callahan, Sr. were united in marriage. He preceded her in death May 31, 1994. They traveled extensively during Mr. Callahan's career with the United States Air Force. They made their home in Altus where they raised their family. Mrs. Callahan was a homemaker and long time member of the Ladies Auxiliary.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, April 23, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. in the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Troy Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Survivors include: two children, Carol Leonard and her husband Larry of Tipton, Oklahoma and Bryan Callahan, Jr. of Camdemton, Missouri; one brother, W.T. Massey and his wife Mary of Ft. Worth, Texas; five sisters, Betty Sullivan, Joyce Peddy, Shelia Strickland all of Albany, GA, Pat Mullins and her husband Claude of Huntsville, Alabama and Bobbie Childress and her husband Loyd of Eva, Alabama; three grandchildren, Shanna Chavez and Crystal White both of Tipton, Oklahoma and Mikalyn Callahan of Camdemton, Missouri.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bryan Lee Callahan, Sr. and one sister, Margie Carpenter.
