Obituary for Gloria Ann Dille
Gloria Ann (Howard) Dille, age 85 of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday October 18, 2020 at her home in Altus.
Gloria was born in Phoenix, Arizona on February 6, 1935 to her parents Vaughn Lawrence Howard and Carey Ethel (Yelton) Howard. Gloria grew up and graduated high school in Phoenix and went on to attend the University of Arizona where she was active as Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority member. While in college she met an Air Force Officer, Roy Brice Dille, II and they were married on July 10, 1955 in Phoenix and they enjoyed over 65 years of marriage together before Brice's death June of 2020. As a young Air Force family Gloria took care of the home and her family. Gloria and Brice, II were stationed all around the world including; Altus Air Force Base, Altus, Oklahoma, Dover Air Force Base, Dover, Delaware, McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey, Sacramento, California, Ramstein Germany, Phoenix, Arizona, and they finally landed back at Altus, Oklahoma where Gloria has resided for many years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Altus. Gloria loved to read and go shopping, and she always enjoyed to cook and entertain friends and family at her home but most of all Gloria loved her family and she took great care of them throughout the years and she will be missed very much.
Preceded in death by her husband Roy Brice Dille, II; her parents, her brothers, William "Bill" Howard and Robert Lowell Howard; her sisters, Lawrene Mae Howard; Dorothy Louise Howard Stancil; Marian Eleanor Howard Jacobson; and Nancy Lyn Howard Gargurlo.
Gloria is survived by her three children, Roy Brice Dille, III and wife Carol Walker Dille of Oklahoma City; Brenda Sue Hensley and husband Berry of Altus; and Jennifer Lynn Dille of Oklahoma City; sisters, Jean Ellen Howard Nelson of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Colin Blake Hensley and wife Kasey; Walker Brice Dille and wife Addisen; Morgan Leigh Wong and husband Cesar; Hannah Faye Drake; Halee Marie Drake; William Mark Dille and wife Amanda; and Heather Ashley Drake; great grandchildren, Beck Walker Dille; Hayden Shemame; Ronnie Drake; Veronica Drake; and Aiden James Drake; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and friends, and Gloria's caregivers, Debbie Aguirre; Amanda Gloria; Elisa Love; Tiffany Bradley; Laticia Gomez; Ellie Hand; and the late Yolanda Sample.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 23, 2020 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel in Altus.
Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus.
