Obituary for Gloria Mingura
Surrounded by her loving family Gloria Mingura joined our heavenly Father on September 22, 2019. She was born on June 29, 1943 in Kokomo, Indiana to Salavdor Martinez and Isabel Galvez. As a young child, she, her siblings, and parents traveled as migrant workers throughout several Midwestern states, where they picked cotton and harvested crops.
While working in Two Buttes, Colorado, she met her future husband Roberto Mingura Sr. Soon after their marriage in Wisconsin, they decided to move to Hollis, Oklahoma, where they settled down and raised their 4 children.
Gloria enjoyed listening to music, attending dances at the National Guard, going to the meal site, and spending time with her friends, kids, and grandkids.
She is survived by her 4 children, daughters Mary Mingura and partner Chris Woodruff, Rachel Mingura, Gloria Nunez and husband Manuel Nunez, and son, Roberto Mingura jr. and wife Monica; 12 grandchildren, Corey Mingura, Christian Woodruff, Reyna Mingura and partner Carlos Martinez, Jonathan, Bradlee, and Bridget Withers; Liana, Roberto and Amelia Mingura; Yareli, Joselyn, and Mercy Nunez; and two great-granchildren Carlitos and Daimiel Martinez.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Salvador and Isabel Martinez, love of her life Roberto Mingura Sr., her brother Rudolfo Martinez and 3 nephews.
A Rosary service will be held 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2019 at Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
A Mass of Christian burial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Hollis, Oklahoma.
