Obituary for Gracie Pauline Loper
Gracie Pauline Loper age 91, Oklahoma was born September 17, 1905 at Durant, Oklahoma to the late James Henry Welch and Maudie Alameda (Camp) Welch. Gracie passed away Thursday, January 30, 1997 at the Altus House Nursing Home after Feburary 1, 1997 at 3:00pm in the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Wiginton and Melvin Moody officiating.
Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Gracie was a member of Rebecca's since 1948 and a 42 years member of the First Baptist Church of Altus. She taught Sunday School and sang in the Sanctuary choir, director of 6 year old Training Union for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include 6 grandchildren Don Loper and his wife Tammy of Altus, Oklahoma, Shirley Prenot and her husband Butch of Meosho, Missouri, Vicky Loper of Nesho, Missouri, Judy Day Speaks of Durant, Oklahoma; Charlene Wiley of Greenville, Texas; Jimmy Sue of Durant, Oklahoma; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.
Preceded in death by parents, 1 daughter, Alameda Weaver 4 sons; Forrest, Jackie, Victor, Don.
