Oklahoma, officiated by Rev. Gary Usher and Rev. Carl Steiner. Funeral arrangements are under

Grant Lavon Davis lived a life of dedication and commitment. He was born in Long Beach,

California, to Lavon Grant and Esther (Little) Davis and graduated from Artesia High School in

the class of 1966. On April 26, 1970, he married Linda Carol Boone in Bellflower, California.

Grant worked as a truck driver and provided for his family. His unwavering commitment to his

loved ones is an inspiration to all.

He was a loving father of two daughters, Gina Carol Davis and Brenda Lee Davis, and in the

early 80s, he moved his family to Brownfield, Texas, where he worked at Goodpasture Grain and

Milling Co. for several years. In 1987, the family moved back to California, where he took an

excellent job as a truck driver at Golden State Foods. He retired in 2009 and later moved to

Altus, Oklahoma, to settle down.

Grant loved spending time with his grandchildren, Ashley and Chris. He was a devout Christian

and enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggart's Sunday program. Sunday mornings were always

special to him. He also enjoyed socializing with friends over coffee in town and took his loyal

dog, Kobe, everywhere he went. Grant loved chatting with the locals, and he was overjoyed

when his grandkids made him a great-papa to his two great-grandchildren, Josiah and Noah.

Grant was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Faye Davis; parents, Lavon and Esther

Davis; brothers, Donnie, Kenneth, and Edward; and wife, Linda.

Grant's surviving family includes his two daughters, Gina Davis and Brenda Davis;

grandchildren, Ashley Chandradat and her husband Anil; and Christopher Madrid. His two great-

grandchildren, Josiah Chandradat and Noah Madrid; His two nephews Josh Davis and Don Davis

Jr. and great-nieces and nephews.
