Guadalupe Valdez, age 71, was born October 17th, 1922, in Harlingen, Texas. Mr. Valdez passed away Wednesday, September 28th, 1994, at his home in Olustee, Oklahoma.
Services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Olustee Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Mr. Valdez was born October 17th, 1922 in Harlingen, Texas to Ramon and Francisca Valdez.
He married Petra A. Herrera July 17, 1940. They were later divorced in 1966. He later married Rita and she preceded him in death. He had been a resident of Jackson County since 1958 where he farmed for a great many years. He was a well loved and respected man in this community.
Survivors include: his wife, Rita of the home; nine children, Ernest Valdez, Pedro Pete Valdez, Mary Lou Montablo, Benito Valdez, Danny Valdez, Jessie Valdez and Vincent Valdez, all of Phoenix, AZ, Mary Ann Lowery and Jose Valdez of Scottsdale, AZ; two brothers, Torivio Valdez of Gregory, TX and Mike Valdez of Houma, LA; one sister, Lucy Alonzo of Folkson, GA;
45 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
