Obituary for Guss William Schroeder
Mr. Guss William Schroeder, age 71, of Headrick, OK, died on Friday, June 21st, 1968 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 23, 1968, Headrick Baptist Church, 4:00 P.M. with the Reverend Noel George officiating and assisted by the Reverend Howard Nipper. Burial will be in the Navajoe Masonic Cemetery under direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Mr. Schroeder was married to the former Gertrude VanCleave May 8, 1920 in Altus, OK. He had lived in the Headrick area since 1904 and was a farmer. He belonged to the Lutheran Church and the Masonic Lodge. He was a Veteran of WWI.
He is survived by: his wife, Gertrude of the home; two sons, Cecil of Ardmore, OK and Clifford of Hill City, KS; one daughter, Mrs. Marie Richmond of Headrick; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Mills and Mrs. Esther Pagan, both of Brady, TX.
