Obituary for Harriet Madalyn Corrigan
Harriet Madalyn Corrigan Harriet Madalyn Corrigan of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, May 6, 2000, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma at the age of 83. Madalyn was born November 22,1916, in Texas City, Texas, to James Ernest and Della Mae (Bass) Wilson. She married Elmer Leroy Corrigan September 3, 1938, in Texas City, Texas. She worked for Memorial Funeral Home in Vidor, Texas for twenty one years as a secretary;. She was also a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Madalyn volunteered with the American Red Cross for a number of years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Altus. Madalyn is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law Ernest Corrigan of Altus, Patrick and Shirley Corrigan, also of Altus, and Robert and Robin Corrigan of Texas City, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Ned Lunt of San Antonio, Texas, Nineteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Madalyn was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers and one sister. Funeral Services for Madalyn Corrigan will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 9, 2000 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Altus with Bishop Dennis Brown officiating. Interment will be at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
