Obituary for Hattie Ella Crain
Mrs. Hattie Ella Crain, age 83, died Saturday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Memorial services have been set for Monday, 10:30 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church officiated by the Reverend Clayton Johnson, pastor and assisted by the Reverend C. C. Gober, associate. Burial will be in Altus City Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born September 3rd, 1888 in Denton County, Texas, she came with her parents and homesteaded one mile northwest of the present town of Elmer. She was married to A.P. Crain in 1907, he preceding her in death. She served as Postmaster of Elmer from 1929 to 1933. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Home Demonstration Club, Rebekah Lodge and a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors include: one son, Lloyd of Altus; two brothers, Mr. E. H. Colville of Olustee and Mr. Vonnie D. Colville of Oklahoma City; a number of nieces and nephews.
