Obituary for Hazel Opal Morris
Hazel Opal Morris, age 82, of Altus, Oklahoma , died on Wednesday, February 18th, 1998 in Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Hazel was born on October 6, 1915 near Ada, Oklahoma to Charlie Edgar and Laura Medis (Dew) Lawson. She married Harold Morris on July 27, 1957 and together they lived in the Altus Community for many years where Hazel was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gerald Stephens; seven brothers and one sister.
She is survived by: her husband, Harold of the home in Altus; two daughters, Shirley and Carl Risinger of Altus and Tawana Jo and Archie Richardson of Riverside, CA; four sisters, Weta Shortes of Ada, OK, Dorothy Blandin of Detroit, MI, Wanda Martin of Hayward, CA and Gladys Rozell of Aztec, NM; three grandchildren, Darlene Look, Linda Love and Diane Woodard; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Sunday, February 22, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Boyd Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
