Obituary for Hazel Rachel Niehaus
Hazel Rachel Niehaus, age 82, of Princeton, Indiana, passed away Thursday, February 12th, 1998 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She was born July 30th, 1915 at Princeton, Indiana to the late Oscar and Viola (Kendell) Pauley. She attended school in Indiana and received her degree in nursing. She worked as a Private Care Nurse for many years. On November 19, 1935, in Princeton, Indiana, she and Herschel Simmons were united in marriage. He preceded her in death February 17, 1960. She later married Leonard (Jack) Niehaus and he preceded her in death October 1986. She moved to Headrick, Oklahoma in the latter part of 1996 to be near her son and his family. She attended the First Baptist Church of Headrick.

Funeral services will be conducted by Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, IN with local arrangements by Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Survivors include: one son, Jerald Simmons and his wife Alene of Headrick, OK; one stepson, David Niehaus and his wife Marilyn of Bellevue, WA; two grandchildren, Joy Simmons and Jason Simmons both of Headrick, Oklahoma; one great-granddaughter, Cheyanne Simmons of Headrick, Oklahoma; three step-grandchildren, David Andrew Niehaus and his wife, Elana, Matthew Niehaus and Greta and Steven Dunn; one step-great-grandchild, Zachery Niehaus.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Herschel Simmons and Leonard (Jack) Niehaus.
