Obituary for Heather Dawn Bryce
Heather Dawn Bryce, age 17, passed away early Sunday morning, January 21, 2006 as the result of a motor vehicle accident in Kiowa County.

She was born November 16, 1988, in Altus, Oklahoma, to Gene and Patricia (Whelan) Bryce. Heather was attending the Altus Public School System and was currently a junior at Altus High School.

A member of the First Baptist Church youth group, Heather was involved in many activities all of her life which included Girl Scouts, 4-H, and was an honor student in elementary and junior high school. She previously was on the dance team at Altus High School, a starter for the Altus High School Tennis Team, a member of Who-Who's of American High School Students, and Young Womens's Leaders Club. Heather was also very active in her church youth group. Heather loved listening to music, playing tennis, watching her dad race, snow skiing, water skiing, and was looking forward to attending to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Cadet Lawmen's Academy. Heather's greatest enjoyments were dancing and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her dad and mom, Gene and Patricia Bryce of Altus, Oklahoma; on brother, Gene David Bryce of Edmond, Oklahoma; one sister Kelly Lynn Bryce of Altus, Oklahoma; special sisters, Katie Peterson of Edmond, Oklahoma, Lauren Smith of Altus, Oklahoma, Jenna West of Fairfax, West Virginia, and Amanda Church of Altus, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her grandparents, David and Karen Bryce of Altus, Oklahoma, Louise Adams of Cushing, Oklahoma.; great-grandparents, Katherine and Big Gene Bryce, Marie Bell, and Frances Kendall, all of Altus, Oklahoma; aunts and uncles, David and Connie Slaton of Mangum, Oklahoma, Jackson Alexander of Altus, Oklahoma, Dennis Swarthout of Altus, Oklahoma, Hope and Corey Romines of Bessie, Oklahoma, Amanda Dawn Rawlins of Seymour, Texas; and special family friends Bobby and Kea Smith of Altus, Oklahoma, and Mama and Daddy West of Fairfax, West Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her aunt, Theresa Rinker, uncle John Phelps, grandpa David Whelan, great-grandma, ma-maw Bradley, and great-grandpa Glen Bell.

Funeral Services for Heather Bryce are scheduled for Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at 3:00 pm at the First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

The family of Heather Bryce will greet friends Tuesday evening January 24, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
