Helen Marie Williams, age 83, of Granite, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Plantation Village Nursing Center in Altus.
Mrs. Williams was born December 3, 1931 in Greer County, Oklahoma to Harden and Inez (Hobbs) Cannady. On November 23, 1948, Helen married the love of her life Frank Wayne Williams, in Granite, and they spent the next forty-four wonderful years together before Frank"s death on March 9, 1993. A longtime member of the Granite Church of Christ, Helen worked as a home health aide for many years before she retired. After she retired she enjoyed visiting with her family, neighbors, friends and especially her church family.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, one son, Michael, her sister, Wanda Bell. She is survived by one son, Eddy Williams of Enid, Oklahoma, one grandson Michael Wayne Williams of Alva, Oklahoma; two great-granddaughters, Ciera Williams and Ruby May Williams of Geary, Oklahoma, great-grandsons James Leonard, Chicago, Illinois, and Michael Cameron Williams, Blair, Oklahoma, two nephews, Terry and Rick Bell, Hutchison, Kansas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services for Helen Marie Williams are scheduled for Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Granite, Oklahoma with Ken Hamilton officiating. Services are under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Granite.
