Obituary for Henry Lee McConnell
Mr. Henry Lee McConnell, age 68, of Elmer, died Friday night at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Private family graveside rites were held Sunday at Restlawn Memorial Park. Burial at Restlawn was under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home. Officiating was the Reverend Bill Moss, pastor of the First United Methodist Church.

Born January 7th, 1914 at Elmer, he was married March 3, 1948 at San Francisco to the former Lita Langston who survives of the home. He was the son of the late pioneer residents of this area, Dr. and Mrs. L. H. McConnell.

He attended Altus Junior College and was graduated at the University of Oklahoma Law School in 1939. Following graduation he was accepted in the Legal Department of the Federal Bureau of Investigation remaining until acceptance in 1967 in the position of Assistant District Attorney in Lawton, OK. In 1969 he became an Assistant Attorney General with the state of Oklahoma remaining in that position until retirement, returning to his home in Elmer. At one time Mr. McConnell was Administrative Law Judge in Middlesboro, KY and Oklahoma City for the Social Security Administration.
