Hubert Earl Hayes was born November 1st, 1915 at Commanche, Oklahoma. He died Monday, March 19th, 1990 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He was 74 years, four months and 18 days of age.
He was united in marriage to Mary Gertrude McKee on August 9, 1946 at Morencia, AZ. They have owned a farm near Altus since 1968 and have lived in Jackson County since 1981. He was a retired steel worker, having worked for many years for Armco, Inc. He was a veteran of WWII, when he served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Gertrude Hayes of the home; a daughter, Audrey Ray of Texarkana, TX; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Katherine Jones of Oklahoma City, OK, Lera Leppard of Oklahoma City, OK and Betty Hunt of Davis, OK; a brother, Billy Sam Hayes of Davis, OK.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, 1990 at the Altus City Cemetery with Bill Osborne officiating. Services are under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
