Jackie was born on October 24, 1936, in Hollis, Ok. He was the youngest of three children born to the late Lester James Amburn and Nannie Jane Jones Watkins. Jackie is the epitome of a Renaissance man. One of his first jobs was at the John Deer dealership, where he worked with his future father-in-law, C.H. Brown in the same building that would eventually become Amburn's Auto Center. He loved doing anything that kept his hands busy and his mind sharp. Jackie's strong faith kept him grounded throughout his life.
Jackie enjoyed spending quality time with is wife of 66 years, Janie, their daughters, and their families. He was a strong patriarch of his family, a good friend to all, and a man who would give his shirt for a friend.
