Jackie "Jack" Olan Wolfe, age 74 of Elgin, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at his home in Elgin with his wife Barbara at his side after a two and half year battle with cancer.
Jack was born in Altus on February 8, 1942 to his parents Olan Hall Wolfe and Thelma Jewel (Martin) Wolfe. He married the love of his life Barbara (Sutton) and they have been married 53 " years. Jack loved playing with his grandkids and telling stories about growing up in Headrick, Oklahoma and his time in the United States Army. He enjoyed playing golf and for the last year time spent with his beloved dog Toby was one of his favorite things.
Jack is survived by his wife Barbara Wolfe of the home; his two children, Rick Wolfe and wife Renee of Elgin; and Michelle Wright and husband John of Altus; his sister Gaye Harvey and husband Alton of Altus; five grandchildren, Derrick Wolfe of Oklahoma City; Brittany Wolfe of Elgin; Heath Wright and wife Arielle of McAlester; Michael Wright and wife Victoria of McAlester; and Heather Dobbins and husband Daniel of Elk City; Jack"s special grandchildren, Ciara and Cassy both of Altus; numerous great grandchildren, as well as other family members and friends. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Olan and Thelma Wolfe.
Celebration of Life Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Chapel in Altus with Tony Pierce. Military Honors will be rendered by the United States Army, Fort Sill.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the St. Jude"s Childrens Hospital, www.stjude.org, or 800-805-5856 in honor of Jackie Wolfe.
