He was born September 28, 1893 in Indian Territory, Oklahoma. James was a city employee and a member of the Church of Christ.

Funeral services for James A. Knight have been scheduled for 2:30 pm at Tims Chapel in Altus, Oklahoma officiated by Wallace Gooch. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.

James A Knight is survived by his wife Viola of the home in Altus, Oklahoma; one daughter, Mrs. Clifford Prock of Searcy, Arkansas; two granddaughters, one grandson, one brother, George Knight of Ft. Worth, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
