Obituary for James Allen Worthen

James Allen Worthen, 73, resident of Altus, Oklahoma passed away on 11/27/2022 in Oklahoma City. James was born on June 2, 1949, in Mangum, Oklahoma to Dwight Worthen and Inez (Bull) Worthen. After graduating from high school in Omaha, Nebraska James went on to trade school and became a Master Mason. He worked in that profession from 1968 until his retirement in 2021. James enjoyed hunting, fishing, tending to his chickens, playing dominos, watching football, and especially spending time with his family on the weekends and holidays. James especially loved spending time with them in October when Sweet Pickins Pumpkin Patch was open.

James is preceded in death by his parents.

Left to honor his memory is his Daughter, Amy Jo (Worthen) Cobb and husband Gary Wade; Son Casey James Worthen and wife Amanda Rene; Sister Nancy Jo Myers; Grandchildren, Tyler Wade Cobb and wife Destinie Dae Cobb, AnaLea Marie (Cobb) Delzer and husband Johnathan Delzer, Emmy Rose Cobb, Joshua William Worthen, and Tyler Matthew Worthen; Great grandson, Dawson Wade Cobb; Extended family members, Bryan Keith and Julie Jernigan and daughter Peyton, Hiram Keith Myers III  and JoAnn Myers and son Mitchell, Joe Robert and Lori Jean Richardson, and sons Jason Robert and Jared Keith, Larry and Tamara Deanne Crenshaw and sons William Byrd Hudson and Matthew Levi Hudson, and Dennis Bryan Myers.
