Obituary for James Edward Jones
James Edward Jones was born on July 15, 1963, in Lynchburg, Virginia. After high school, he joined the air force where he met his soulmate in little old Altus. James served his full 20 years in the air force.
He was an avid fisherman, loved cookouts and watching his Dallas Cowboys play. James had a heart of gold with a kind spirit.
James was preceded in death by his mother, Zora Brown; father, Elmer Jones; sister, Brenda Jones; and brother, Tony Brown. James is survived by his wife, Mearl Jones; son, Fernando Jones; one granddaughter, Emelyn Jones; Uncle T, two sisters: Torwanda Brown and Joyce Crawford; and two brothers: Melvin Jones and Percy Brown.
A visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2021, at Lowell - Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma, and from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p, m, Saturday, March 28, 2021, at Lowell - Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
Following the visitation, MSGT Jones will be returning to his hometown in Lynchburg, Virginia
where he will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors.
Local arrangments are under the direction of Lowell - Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
