Obituary for James Edwin Mahan
Mr. James Edwin Mahan, age 91, of Altus, died Friday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

Funeral services have been set for 2:00 P.M., Monday at Grace United Methodist Church, officioated by the Reverend C.C. Gober, assisted by the Reverend David Ross Clewell and the Reverend Susan Ross Clewell. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born September 5th, 1888 in Saline County, Kansas, he was married at Quinlan, OKL on May 31, 1914 to the former Elizabeth (Bessie) Robertson who survives. He was a retired farmer and a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Additional survivors include: three sons, Maurice and the Reverend James L. Mahan both of Altus, John F. Mahan of Mulvane, KS; one daughter, Mrs. Leon (Lola) Fritzler of Derby, KS; one sister, Mrs. Evaline Harper of Quinlan, OK; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
