Obituary for James Franklin Ritchey
Mr. James Franklin Ritchey, age 67, long time resident of Eldorado, died Wednesday night at Quanah Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services have been set for 2:30 Saturday afternoon at the Eldorado First Baptist Church, officiated by the Reverend Don Ladner, pastor. Burial will be in the Eldorado Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born August 25th, 1905 in Greenback, TN, he came to Chillicothe, Texas in 1908. He was married in 1926 to the former Bertha Gunkel and came to Eldorado the following year. He was retired after serving the Eldorado Public Schools as Custodian for 33 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors, i9n addition to his wife of the home, include: two sons, Wayne of Eldorado, James of Buckeye, AZ; two brothers, Fred Ritchey of Chillicothe and Lester of Ft. Worth, TX; three sisters, Gertha Walker of Pampa, Ella Mae Jeanes and Neuel Dunson, both of Chillicothe; three granddaughters, Twila, Twana and Karen Ritchey.
