Obituary for James H. McCallay
James H. "Jim" McCallay, age 92, of Blair, Oklahoma, died June 8th, 1994 at the Mangum City Hospital.
Funeral Services will b e Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Blair Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
He was born September 5th, 1901 at Prairie Hill, Old Greer County, Oklahoma Territory to D.P. and Nora (Dennis) McCallay and he spent most of his life in Jackson County. He operated, managed and built cotton gins until his retirement some thirty years ago and since that time has operated a repair shop in Blair, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Church of Christ and has served for many years on the Blair Cemetery Board.
The family suggests that donations be made to the Blair Church of Christ Memorial Fund or the Blair Cemetery Fund.
Survivors include: his wife, Lena of the home; a daughter, Claudine Dollar of Altus, OK; two grandchildren, Jim Dollar and wife Judy of Blair, Oklahoma aind Mindy Grimes and husband Charles of Denton, TX; five great-grandchildren, Stacy Miller and husband Brian of Duncan, OK, Kayla Dollar of Blair, OK, Christie, Ashlea and Jordan Grimes of Denton, TX.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; three brothers, Oran, Irvan and Dee; one daughter, Joy Arnold; two son-in-laws, Duford Dollar and Willie Arnold.
