Obituary for James Oliver Sheid
Mr. James Oliver Sheid, age 69, of 412 N. Willard, died Thursday evening at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services have been set for Sunday, 2:00 P.M., at the Elm & Hudson Church of Christ, officiated by Bill Osborne. Burial will be in Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born January 16th, 1913 at Quanah, Texas, he was married at Hollis on July 10, 1932 to the former Lois Elizabeth Hindman, who survives of the home. The couple moved from Childress, TX to Altus in 1939. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Elm & Hudson Church of Christ.
Survivors, in addition to his wife include: two daughters, Mrs. Ravenna Groves of Houma, LA and Mrs. Vonnie Risinger of Oklahoma City, OK; one sister, Mrs. Rudine Johnson of Childress, TX; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a nephew, Mr. Mairl McFaul of Snyder, TX.
