Obituary for James "Pete" Pasley
James R. "Pete" Parsley age 77, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2005, at Comanche County memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma.

He was born to Allen M. Parsley and Viola Mae (Rooker) Parsley on June 2, 1927, in Hess Oklahoma.

Pete married Elva Lee Cooper on November 8, 1952, in Altus, Oklahoma, Elva Lee passed away March 27, 2004.

He was a life long resident of Jackson County, and amember of the First Baptist Church of Altus, Oklahoma. He loved county muxic and singing to his wife and family.

Pete is survived by one son, Jamie Lynn and wife, Marsha of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Marsha Lee Loos and husband, Carmen of Altus, Oklahoma and Melody Renee McDaniel and husband Josh of Cache, Oklahoma; one a brother, Elmer Parsley and wife, Bonnie Fay of Altus, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Elva Lee Parsley and two sisters, Margene Moore and Bell Burleson.

Services will be held Monday, May 23, 2005, at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church with Jeff Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Hess Cemetery, under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

A memorial fund has been established at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends Sunday, May 22, 2005, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
