Funeral services for James Porter Cavenor are scheduled for 10:00am Saturday at the Methodist Church in Altus with Rev. Owen Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
James Porter Cavenor is survived by his wife Edith of the home in Altus; three sons, James Cavenor, Wellington, Texas; Clarence Cavenor, Pampa, Texas; Thurman Cavenor, U.S. Navy, San Francisco, California; foster son, Ramsey Lee French, Bakersfield, California; one brother D.B. Cavenor, Amarillo, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Reed Ornelas, Amarillo, Texas; Mrs. Henry Butcher, Carnegie, Oklahoma; five grandchildren.
