Obituary for James Randolph Harris Jr.
James Randolph "Jim" Harris Jr., 53, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 1995. Mr. Harris was born December 16, 1941 in Louisiana to James Randolph and Evelyn Harris, Sr. He married Janice Thiel January 26, 1963 in Lincoln, NB. They made their homes in Nebraska, south Carolina, California, and England before coming to Altus in July of 1978. He retired from the United States Air Force in 1981 after 20 years of service.

After his retirement from the military, Jim worked in Real Estate and in management and sales in several local clothing establishments, including C.R. Anthonys.

He had been a member of the Kiwains Club since 1981 and was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Jim graduated from the University of Maryland in 1978 with a BA and in 1980 from Webster University with a Master's Degree

Jim is survived by his wife Janice of the home; two children, Melissa Dawn Harris of Oklahoma City, and Kimberly Harris Doud and her husband Scott of Altus; one brother , Joseph Weldon Harris of Baton Rouge, La. and his mother and father-in-law, Russell and Irene Coe of Salina, Kansas.
