Obituary for James Rister Spradlin
Funeral services for Mr. James Rister Spradlin, age 85, will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday at the Corinth Baptist Church with ministers, Rev. Hoyt Ellis and Rev. Oscar Brewer officiating. Burial will be in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Mr. Spradlin died at 5:20 A.M. Friday in Hollis Memorial Hospital following a short illness.

He was born October 14th, 1883 in Alabama and came to the Eldorado area in 1903. That year being married to Catherine Fellers. They made their home in the Corinth community. He was a retired farmer and rancher.

Survivors included: his wife, Catherine of the home; six sons, Leslie and J. R. Jr. of Eldorado, E. J. and Wayne of Pueblo, CO, Aubrey of Harlingen, Texas and Carter of Quanah; three daughters, Mrs. Bonnie White and Mrs. Madalene Thompson of Eldorado and Mrs. Alene King of Grandfield; four brothers, Houston and Robert of Alabama, Larkin of Mississippi and Mr. Burl Spradlin of Duke; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Spradlin will lie in state at Lowell-Richardson Funeral Chapel in Eldorado.
