Obituary for James William Harps
Funeral services for SSgt James Williams Harps, U.S. Air Force, were held at Clinton Sherman AFB Chapel on Saturday, 28 Oct 1967.

Sgt Harps was assigned to Altus AFB and passed away at the Base Hospital, Altus AFB, of a heart attack on October 25, 1967.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie Bray Harps of the home; a step-daughter, Margaret Ann Smith; both well-known in the Clinton community; his Mother, Marie Harps of Norfolk, VA; one brother, SSgt Samuel Lee Harps, Jr. presently stationed with the U.S. Army in Germany.

Burial was in the Clinton Cemetery with services under direction of Lowell Funeral Home of Altus.
