Janie Kaye (Waldroop) Luke, age 47 and formerly of Altus, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2006 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Janie was born in Altus on June 29, 1958 to Garland and Kay (Biles) Waldroop. She graduated from in Altus High School in 1976 and lived in Altus for many years before moving to Nashville in 2003. A member of the Thomas Street Church of Christ, Janie loved going to church, watching movies, collecting coins, visiting with friends and watching football on television. Her most enjoyable pastime was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Janie was preceded in death by her grandparents; Leroy and Betty Waldroop and Bryan and Mary Biles, a sister, Kelly and a special uncle, Delbert Waldroop of Altus; two daughters, Krystle Luke of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Jennifer Luke of Nashville, Tennessee; two brothers, Lee Waldroop of Oklahoma City and Bryan Waldroop of Altus; one sister, Renee Martin of Altus; two grandchildren, Ethan Luke and Amelia Luke of Ft. Wayne, Indiana along with many aunts, uncles. nephews and a host of friends.
A memorial service for Janie Waldroop Luke will be held on Monday, February 13, 2996, at 9 a.m. at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with her family officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.
