Janie Bell (Dickerson) Drury, age 86, of Olustee, passed away on December 13, 2004 in Altus, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Drury was born January 22, 1918 to the late George and Leola (Robertson) Dickerson in Strewder (north of Gould) in Harmon County and attended school in McQueen.
Janie was a homemaker; she loved to sew but her passion was cooking. She cooked professionally for the Olustee Public School system, Jackson County Memorial Hospital and Furrs Cafeteria.
Janie was preceded in death by her husband Jasper Blane Drury, September 25, 2000, two daughters, Peggy Ann Holly, April 21, 2003, Callie Studer, October 5, 2003; eight brothers, Claude, Pete, Zearl, Harris, Jesse, Bennie, George and Archie; three sisters, Edna, Mary and Artie.
She is survived by two sons, Homer Cloyce Johnson of Wichita Falls, Texas, Blane Don and Laura Drury of Iowa Park, Texas; three daughters, Cecile Hogue and husband Bobby of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Hope Meyer and Mike of Sulphur, Oklahoma, Elaine Prater and Charles of Edmond, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Inez Neely of Altus, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends.
Janie was a loving wife and a devoted mother and grandmother.
