JARED ALLEN HOLMES
Jared ‘J-Roc’ Allen Holmes was born on 16 July 1985 in Altus, OK to Rosalind and Esley Holmes, Sr. He was violently taken from our lives on 20 August 2017. He knew Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
He was a wonderful son, brother and father. He was a skilled barber and worked at A Wild Hair Salon. He was active as a coach for both basketball and baseball with the Altus City League Sports. He was an avid ‘DJ’ and rapper. He was hard working and very much a people person.
His greatest joy was caring for and spending time with his children. He was a great father. He enjoyed grilling and entertaining family and friends. He also enjoyed all kinds of sports, fishing and traveling.
He was a graduate of Altus High School, Vernon School of Cosmetology, and Western Oklahoma State College in Altus, OK.
He leaves behind his children: Jadon Holmes, Jared Holmes, Jr. and Yara Holmes. He also took care of Esperanza Mendoza. His special friend Haley Johnson. His mother, Rosalind Holmes. His father Esley Holmes, Sr and Roberta Holmes. His brothers: Ramon Carlisle of Norman, OK and Esley Holmes II and Tabitha Holmes. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, friends and co-workers.
I pray that God will continue to give us strength and courage through these troubled times. We have lost a very special member of our family and our lives. He will truly be missed.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2017 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel in Altus.
