Jennifer (Raymond) Sklar, age 41 of Altus passed away Thursday morning, November 3, 2016 at her home in Altus, Oklahoma.
Jennifer was born in Dumas, Texas on March 18, 1975 to her parents Wayne and Shirley (Pennington) Raymond. She grew up in Sunray and graduated High School in Amarillo, Texas. Later Jennifer went to college and received her certificate for medical coding. Jennifer and her family lived in the Oklahoma City area and moved to Altus around 2005. In Altus Jennifer worked as a medical coder for two local doctors offices. Jennifer enjoyed watching Law and Order, cross stitching, and was a diehard Texas Long Horns fan. But above all else her family was the most important and Jennifer was always involved with her children"s activities.
Preceded in death by her parents, Jennifer is survived by her significant other, Michael Alcorta of the home; her daughter Peyton Sklar of Altus; her two sons, Preston and Jakob Sklar of the home; two sisters, Kathy Harris and husband Ron of Amarillo; and Denise Jackson of Amarillo; as well as her nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.
Funeral services for Jennifer Sklar will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel in Altus, Oklahoma.
Graveside services will be held at Brown Memorial Cemetery in Sunray, Texas on Wednesday under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Alzheimer"s Association at www.alz.org or (800) 272-3900 in honor of Jennifer Sklar.
