Jess Willard Thompson,76, of Olustee died Thursday morning at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Graveside services are scheduled for Monday at 10:30 am in the Altus Cemetery officiated by Sonny Tims. Arrangements are with Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, 1100 East Tamarack Road.

Thompson was born July 14, 1914 in Marietta, Oklahoma and was the son of John and Jennie Thompson. He married Billie Dozier in 1966 and has been living in Altus since 1974 moving from Tipton. He had been associated with the United Funeral Benefit Life Insurance Company of Wichita Falls for over 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Thompson of Olustee, Oklahoma, one daughter, Jettie Ann Ward of Wichita Falls, Texas; two grandchildren, Anna K. Ward of Dallas, Texas; and Lora L. Kelly of Houston, Texas, one great grandchild, Justin Ward Kelly of Houston, Texas.
