She was born July 9, 1889 in Whitesboro, Texas to W. R. and Lizzie (Thompson) Martin. She married Claude Parks December 10, 1905. He preceded her in death. She had been a resident of southwest Oklahoma since 1932.
Funeral services for Jessie Azelee Parks are scheduled for November 11, 1969 at 2:00pm in the Eldorado Baptist Church, Eldorado, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Jessie Azelee Parks is survived by her son Leland Parks, of Dallas, Texas; three daughters, Miss Alma Parks, Grandfield, Oklahoma; Mrs. Wyatt Cannady, Modesto, California; Mrs. Clyde Crossland, Grandfield, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, one brother, Luther Martin, Yuma, Arizona; four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Hall Yuma, Arizona; Mrs. Mattie Burkett, Yuma, Arizona; Mrs Eula Price, Yuma, Arizona; Mrs. Bessie Myers, Yuma, Arizona; one brother Grady Martin preceded her in death.
