Obituary for Jessie E. Bates
Funeral arrangements have been set for Mr. Jesse Earl Bates, former resident of Jackson County, who died last Sunday in San Bernardino, CA, at the age of 77. Mr. Bates was the brother-in-law of Mr. Jack Chenault of Eldorado.

Survivors include: three sons, Jack of Coos Bay, OR, Earl of San Bernardino, CA and Pearl of Phoenix, AZ; three daughters, Mrs. EuDeau Sorenson of Hollywood, CA, Mrs. Jessie Faye O'Neal of Los Angeles and Mrs. Joan Nichols of San Luis Obispo, CA; two brothers; three sisters; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were held Thursday in San Bernardino. Graveside services and burial in Bethel Cemetery are set for 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 10th, under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

The body will lay in state at Lowell-Richardson Funeral Chapel in Eldorado.
