Jewell Emily Thompson, age 88, of Altus, died May 26, 1994 in Mountain View, Oklahoma.
Graveside services hav e been scheduled for 2 P.M., Saturday in the Warren Cemetery with Sonny Tims officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Mrs. Thompson was born May 10th, 1906 in Warren, Oklahoma to Joe and Emily Covey. She married Arceneth Thompson and he preceded her in death. She was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and an active member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Thompson was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Jackson County Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a member of the Retired Nurses Association and AARP.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; one daughter, Rea Rey; one son, Royce Albon Thompson.
Survivors include: one son, Percy Thompson of Altus, OK; six grandchildren, Robert Thompson of Norman, OK, Allan Thompson of Calumet, OK, Terry Berry of Mountain View, Oklahoma, Jimmy Thompson of Oklahoma City, OK, Jon Scott Thompson of Little Rock, AR and Jerry Thompson of Mountain View, Oklahoma; eight great-grandchildren.
