Jewell M. Bilbrey of Olustee passed away Friday, February 1st, 1980 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma. Funeral services were held at the Olustee Church of Christ at 2:00 pm on Sunday February 3rd officiated by Bill Osborne. Jewell was buried in the Restlawn Cemetery north of Altus under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Jewell was born June 8th, 1919 in Olustee, Oklahoma, the daughter of John and Josette (Merchant) Holley. She was a resident of Jackson County her entire life. She married Hugh Bilbrey on Mary 4, 1939 in Altus and was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a devote member of the Olustee Church of Christ.
Jewell M. Bilbrey is survived by her husband, Hugh of the home in Olustee, Oklahoma; one son Mark Bilbrey, Norman, Oklahoma; two daughters, Judy Turner, Norman, Oklahoma; Jan Bonds, Moore, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, five brothers, B.B. Holley, Mangum, Oklahoma; Tom Holley, Tonkawa, Oklahoma; E.E. Holley, Enid, Oklahoma; George Holley, Austin, Texas; Lloyd Holley, Altus, Oklahoma; two sisters, Elnora Chennault, Altus, Oklahoma; Nora Allred, Aniheim, California.
