Obituary for Jimmy Ray Webb
Jimmy Ray Webb, 71, resident of Mangum, Oklahoma, passed away on April 6, 2020 in Altus, Oklahoma. Jimmy was born on June 7, 1948 in Altus, Oklahoma. He was lovingly raised by Mickey and Lawrence Lanning. Jimmy graduated from Mangum High School in 1967, and then joined the Army. He was a Bronze Star recipient in April 1969 and was Honorably discharged on November 1, 1973. He was an Apartment Complex Maintenance Supervisor in Dallas, Tx. after returning from Vietnam. He later worked for Harmon County for twelve years. After he retired in 2013, Jimmy spent time going to his great nephew's baseball games, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. Jimmy was a talented carpenter and enjoyed woodworking. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Mickey Lanning. He is survived by his brother Lawrence Lanning and wife Vinita of Purcell, Oklahoma; Nephew, Lance Lanning and wife Tobi of Mangum; Great-Nephews, Koby Lanning and Kyler Lanning of Mangum, Oklahoma; and a host of family and friends.
