Joe C. Ray, age 71, of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 1982, at his home in Altus. Joe was born June 10, 1910, in Hope Arkansas to Immauel and Maggie Ray. He had been a resident Altus for the past 36 years.
Funeral services for Joe C. Ray are scheduled for Monday, February 8, 1982 at pm at the Macedonia Baptist Church, Altus, officiated by Rev. Don Jones and Rev. C. W. Huntington. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Joe C. Ray is survived by his wife, Hattie of the home in Altus; seven daughters, Fannie Mae Branch, Alabama; Mae Frances Jefferson, Alabama; Jo Mane Huntington, Alabama; Mary Lou Square, Sandra Kay Ray, Lula Mae Ray, Dexter, Alabama; Barbara Ann Ray, Lubbock, Texas; Tommy Ray, Altus; Jack Ray, Texasarkana, Arkansas; two sisters, Minnie Lee Brown, Hope, Arkansas; Precious Townsend, Yuma, Arizona; thirty five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, eight step-children, three step grandchildren.
