Graveside services for Joe Terry, age 73, of Altus, will be Wednesday, December 25, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. at the Altus City Cemetery with Elder Ancil Carrouthers and Elder D.E. Young officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Joe was born August 15th, 1925 in Caldwell, Texas to Temer L. and Mary Terry. He married Doris Mae King on June 30, 1948 in Caldwell, Texas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II. Joe was a farmer and contractor all of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son; three brothers; one sister.
Survivors include: four sons, Leuis Ned Terry and wife Pat of Las Vegas, NV, Terry Lee Terry of Aurora, CO, Joe Terry and wife Gwynn of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Marvin Terry of Seattle, WA; four daughters, Wanda Lynn Gilden of Altus, Oklahoma, Doris Robinson and husband Kenneth of Altus, Oklahoma, Diana Terry of Altus, Oklahoma and Shirley Terry of Las Vegas, NV; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
